Walking Meditation on Brigid’s Way

Iconic 10-day pilgrimage through Eastern Ireland

Self-Guided or Guided
Travel Any Time

This iconic 10-day pilgrimage was inaugurated in a moment of divine inspiration by a committee of volunteers who wanted to restart this ancient walking path.

Those who honor Brigid, as a pre-Celtic Goddess or Christian Saint, come to walk in her footsteps as a way to find peace, connect with our ancestors and commune with the sacred land's of Ireland.

By following Brigid’s footsteps and those of our ancestors, walking as a pilgrim will reconnect you with the sacredness of the earth and the majesty of the sky.

We are honored to offer this pilgrimage in partnership with the Brigid's Way committee.

"Brigids Way has inspired me to reach far beyond what I thought to be true of my body’s capabilities and connected me more fully to Brigid’s profound and awesome inspiration.” —Gemma Mac, Ireland

Where You’ll Walk

This Irish Pilgrimage passes through beautiful landscapes and picturesque villages of county Louth.

Along the route lie the sacred sites of Brigid's Holy Well, Knockbridge Standing Stone (also known as the ‘Cuchulainn Stone’), the Hill of Tara, Brideswell Kilcock, Brigid’s monastery in Kildare.

This alignment of sacred sites reflects the Cygnus (Swan) constellation which was prominent in the skies at the time of St Brigid’s birth in the 5th Century AD. It may have formed an ancient ‘sightline’, pointing out the place on the northern horizon where the cross-shaped swan constellation, Cygnus, was rising in ancient times.
